I have decided that one thing I want to most definitely pursue this year is photography. Mainly Portraiture to begin with. I may one day still do something in the psychology field. But for now I am going to pursue something a little bit more fun. I have the perfect subject for much practice (Baby Summer) and I get a lot of joy out of a good picture, especially if it’s one I have taken myself.

I am going to go to some professional courses in natural lighting portraiture photography first and then maybe some studio lighting etc. And I might pop in a couple of one on one tutoring also. Just to define my knowledge/skills. Until then I will just continue how I am.

*Sigh*
I half hoped that my cycle wouldn’t return. But half hoped that it would. As it would confirm that everything is working okay. The reason I didn’t want it back, is cuz like every other woman out there…I HATE it when Aunt Flo comes to visit. After not seeing her for 11 months (due to pregnancy) life was good. Now she is back to say hello! Like I haven’t been through enough already.

So it’s back off to the doc’s to get back onto the good ole pill. Which I know for sure I am going to forget taking at first as I haven’t been on it for a couple of years or more now. Anyways….it does all make me wonder if I still have PCOS anymore. Or if it will return. Tho I am planning on (in the next monthish) to go back to dieting. Maybe the Tony Ferguson Diet. I am just not ready to punish myself yet. But I know I cannot leave it for too much longer. I want to be feeling good for Summer time!

Oooh, who doesn’t like getting flowers??
I love getting flowers. I got flowers on the weekend. Some friends of ours popped around to see Summer and brought them. It was such a nice gesture. Especially considering they would of cost a small fortune! I love that everyone has been buying little gifts for Summer, but it’s nice for someone to remember me too and make me feel special. I am in the middle of making a whole heap of thankyou cards now too. It’s hard to find the artistic juice to do it, but the more I try the more juice that flows! But I must get them out soon or else everyone will think I am not thankful. But I am very very thankful.

Wow…it is cold today. And I love it! My fave type of day is a sunny one like today, but with a cold snap in the air. It is definitely boot wearing weather. If it’s this cold tomorrow, I will get to wear one of my pair of ankle boots. Finally.

Tomorrow morning we will have some visitors popping around to meet our baby Summer. I am looking forward to that. I enjoy showing her off as I am so proud of her and that she is all mine (oh and a little bit of Rick’s too hee hee). But…..the house…..oh the house!! Well it’s not disgusting. But it’s certainly not clean enough to eat your dinner off the floor.

I have cleaned the kitchen and done all the dishes, will have more to do after dinner of course, but the floors….!!!! Oh they’re bad!! I just have no energy right now to pick up a damned backpack vacuum cleaner and spend 40 mins vacuuming and then to have to pick up a mop and spend another 20-30 mopping up, only to have my floors look like they were never cleaned anyway.

Don’t get me wrong. Since I have brought bugaboo home, they have been done. But not nearly as much as they were before I gave birth. I hate having a messy home. But in the morning I will assign Rick to do some chores and then I will do what I can. It has to be done. I am just not in a routine yet and establishing one (with not enough sleep) is too hard right now. Maybe sometime in the near future I will have one set??….

We finally got our Gerber Baby bottles today!! And they are exactly like the Avent ones too!
Except they are BPA free of course. And the cap bits that the teats go into are coloured. We have blue, green and purple. And yes, if I could have had all purple I would have. But I can’t They unfortunately are not as easy to measure for either, as the mls are in big gaps (i.e - 150 then something like 170 to 200 with no lines in between for accurate measurements), so it will make it quite hard when we go to 185mls. But we will get by. They all round are better bottles than the ones we had prior. Tho I would have had any given that they were BPA free!

I would like to eat now…but bubby is being fickle and doesn’t know if she wants to sleep or play or what???

Just had to post this….it makes me laff my head off every time I look at it….

Today we all went to Trade Secret. I wanted to go there with the intent of buying Summer some nice clothes, possibly for now, but more likely for later when she is a bit bigger. Well much to our surprise when we got inside, they now sell OSH KOSH clothing!! AND they had lots of it and it was like half the RRP. So we came away from there with a set of 3 little romper suits for her to wear now. And of course we ended up with pink ones as the red only came in larger sizes or for premmie. I wish I had of gone there when we needed the premmie size!

I took Summer into our bed this afternoon for her first nap with me. Only lasted for about half hour, as she makes a lot of noises when sleeping and Rick was getting a bit annoyed and I was over the nap anyways, so we got up and left him to it. Right now she is asleep on my chest whilst I type this blog. I have noticed a pattern with her. She will sleep in your arms and seem like she is out like a concrete block and as soon as you lay her down in her own domain, she awakens and will NOT cooperate. Until you pick her up again and she falls asleep in your arms once more. Not a good pattern to set down the track, but for now it’s all okay. They say you can’t spoil them when they are this young.

Summer had her hearing test at the hospital this morning and of course as we knew she would, she passed! We (Rick & I) fail to see how they couldn’t of fit this test in, when we were already in the hospital for nearly a week after she was born. It only took all of like about 7-9 minutes to do. But it’s done now and she is fine and we are all fine and all is well

Yesterday was the first time I took Summer out to the shops by myself.
In fact, it’s the first time I have taken her anywhere by myself, since we brought her home from the hospital. The Baby Bjorn we bought is a God send!! Makes it so easy to do shopping The only reason I haven’t been anywhere by myself with her, is because, Rick has been home all the times we have needed to go out and we have just gone together and also cuz I haven’t really felt like going anywhere until now. But I love taking her out and showing her off cuz she is so little and so adorable!

I will have to start taking her for walks in her stroller soon too. I have to start getting into excersise again now too. And we have finally (hopefully) found a better style of BPA free bottle! We originally bought a whole heap of BPA free bottles by EvenFlo, but I didn’t really like them. I think they are too tall and skinny. I prefer the Avent style, short and fat. Which makes them dead easy to clean and they won’t topple over or be as easy to knock over either. So Rick went searching on the net again and came across Gerber Baby BPA free bottles and they are identical to the Avent ones we were using beforehand. So we can use the teats and accessories that go with the Avent bottles which makes things easy. Seeing as the bottles we have been buying (BPA free) are all from the United States. We should have the Gerber ones next week Yay!
