Pic’s Pic’s Pic’s.
My baby is going to be one of the most photographed baby’s that I know of. I already have nearly 200 so far. And I finally got my Backdrop set up. Now I am looking at getting some studio lighting stuff (small time stuff) to enhance my practice. I am going to get a little sheepskin rug as well for the portrait photo’s.
And then in a couple of months time, I will try and get some personal tutoring. I definitely want to go down the route of portrait photography for a small business of my own. It’s something I enjoy very much and will bring smiles to others for years to come, everytime they look at the pictures (as I get now with mine). I have come across other peoples blog’s on wordpress, who do their own portrait photography and they leave me green with envy. I don’t want Summer to grow up just yet, but at the same time I cannot wait until she is sitting up and smilling properly and noticing everything so I can take some gorgeous shots of her.
Today we bought a printer for photo’s only. In the end it will only cost us $100 as we get $100 cashback on it. And we can get the inks and photo paper online at cheap prices! I am not going to do all of my printing on it, but every now and then I will, as it’s going to be hard to just pop to a shopping centre to sit for hours on their printer thingy’s to crop and edit all the pic’s instore, when you have a little one in tow. I love looking at my photo’s and so it’s worth it to me to do it at home sometimes.
Here’s one of the latest of Summer….recognise the outfit Dee?

Yes that is me to a T right now.
As it is for all mums with newborns.
My little Ted is spending a lot more time awake nowadays and she is quite alert. She would sleep most times in my arms if I could afford to spare them, but of course there is always so much to ‘be done’. Right now she is in my right arm whilst I type with my left.
Finding somewhere dark around here for her to sleep at is really hard, as we don’t really have anyplace that has curtains to make the room dark enough. But I am getting by. I took her to do the weekly shop today and she was a little gem and slept through most of it and didn’t cry or fuss. I have to try n get some photo’s in of her this week, but I have heaps to do and 2 appointments at the Hospital (sigh) this week. And I should prob get myself off to a doctor to collect that pill
I don’t have much else to report on….Summer is growing well and doing well and making more and more little cooing noises everyday. I love her to little bits n pieces. And want to squish her all day…but alas I am soo tired…

Coming soon……
……..I will fill my blog up with all the stories I have about our baby Summer. I can’t wait to have it all down ‘on paper’, so that I can look back on it all some day. Though it has been the most traumatic time of my life….it has also been the most beautiful.

Hospital & Wedding
So I had a hospital appointment today, to see the OB and a Diabetic Educator. She just goes through my blood level book and checks if my insulin needs to be increased (which it was) and to ask if there is anything I need answers too. I am quite used to having to go to the hospital now, but I will be happy when it’s over. It’s boring. It takes too long. And getting a park is becoming a nightmare more and more. So everything is going well with the pregnancy. I am feeling the baby move alot more around in the actual stomach area now. Whereas before I was feeling most movement around the pelvic region. I am booked in for a Fetal Growth scan in 2 weeks time, where they check the measurements of the baby according to how far along she is meant to be, because of the Gestational Diabetes. I hope all is well.
Went to the wedding, which started off okay, but then didn’t end on such a happy note for my husband as he had a run in with a man he used to know who says too much without thinking. I missed most of that altercation as I had gone to the Ladies with my mother in law. So basically that put an end to the night…which was good as it was getting too late anyways and I was desperate to be going home. Got quite a few nice shots of the wedding, it was good practice. Not something you get to do most days. I am by no means a good photographer, but I enjoy it. Here is a shot of the bride anyways.![]()

Macro Photography
I absolutely love! macro photography. If I had the money I would buy flower after flower and spend hours taking pictures of them up close and personal. And then I would print them out really really big on mounted canvas and dedicate a room/wall in the house to them. Here is an example of one of the pictures I have taken of an insect in macro.![]()
