Yesterday I took Summer with me to the fabric store to pick up some supplies. I bought a tonne of denim fabric and some buttons and patterns etc. I wasn’t going to purchase any other fabric, but then I saw this near the checkout and I had to get it for making something for Summer.
On Sunday night, I ordered and paid for a book on sewing projects for around the home and it came today, along with a lovely little gift inside…..
Who wouldn’t love to see a parcel arrive packaged like this?!! Here was the little gift that was inside:
A lovely Fat Quarter and a Funky Pincushion!!!! (of which I think I have the pattern and instructions to make one!) Coolness!! With the fabric I purchased for Summer, I think I might make some ruffle pants from and maybe a top to match. Or maybe a little going out dress. With the fabric I got as a little gift….well probably it will become the lining for a bag or something of that nature. I don’t know if I will get around to trying one of the projects from the book I purchased….but there’s no hurry right?!
In the meantime, here is a little picture of the project I am almost finished working on.
