I had my appointment with an OB and a Diabetic Educator.  Both appointments went well.  The OB I had,  was actually one I have had once before from a long time ago.  He is a young guy,  probably about my age and really nice and easy to talk too.

I asked him about the likelyhood of my being induced at 38 weeks and he said yes.  That if I wasn’t on Insulin to control the GD,  then no,  they would let me go full term.  But he said that Diabetes with Insulin is the worst kind and so they treat it seriously and will induce me early.  Tho according to Midwives etc,  at 38 weeks the baby is fully formed and it’s lungs are able to work on their own from that point on.

So,  I have another appointment in 2 weeks time and apparently they will discuss with me a date that is suitable to me to be induced.  So I think I will pick a Saturday.  For my last appointment before baby comes,  I am going to make Rick come with me.  As I have been to every single appointment on my own and I am fed up with it.  It makes me feel lonely in this pregnancy.

That’s the latest on that side of things.  I will update about the scan I had today,  later on,  when I have told Rick the details.
